The economic growth of a country is often measured by the potential use of its resources. Typically, a Strategic Development Plan (SDP) is used to determine which potential areas should be strengthened in order to achieve the goals of the country.
Our country has great potential in the areas of mining, agriculture, and tourism among many others. Some of the ways to gauge potential is by referencing our gross domestic product (GDP) and current trends in local and international markets.

According to the National Development Plan of 2021-2025 which was created by the sitting government, our current goals are as follows:
¨2.2.2. Increase annual mining exports from USD 921,935,961 to USD 4,040,016,198
¨2.2.7. Increase the volume of hydrocarbon production from 516,083 BEP to 1 million BEP by 2025
¨2.1.2. Increase the share of non-traditional exports in total non-oil exports from 41.16% to 48.36%
